Science Teacher

planning engaging lessons, teaching scientific concepts (biology, chemistry, physics), conducting safe lab experiments, assessing student progress, and fostering critical thinking, while managing classrooms, collaborating with staff, communicating with parents, and staying updated on science education, often incorporating technology and hands-on activities to inspire a love for science. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum & Instruction: Develop and deliver science lessons aligned with standards, adapting to different learning styles, and explaining complex concepts clearly.
• Laboratory Management: Organize and supervise hands-on experiments, ensuring safety protocols and proper equipment use.
• Assessment & Feedback: Create tests, assignments, and projects; provide constructive feedback to students and parents; and track progress.
• Classroom Environment: Maintain a positive, safe, and orderly classroom and lab, managing student behavior and promoting engagement.
• Student Support: Offer extra help to struggling students and nurture curiosity and a love for science.
• Collaboration & Professionalism: Work with colleagues, attend meetings, participate in school events, and engage in professional development.
• Technology Integration: Use digital tools and technology to enhance lessons and materials.

• Strong knowledge of scientific principles (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science).

Variations by Level:

• Elementary: Focus on general science and foundational concepts.
• Secondary: May specialize in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Earth Science.
