Senior Design Engineer

Role ObjectiveTo design, develop, and improve valves, actuators, automation components, and related systems using CAD / 3D modeling, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards.

• Key Responsibilities1️⃣ Product Design & DevelopmentCreate 2D / 3D designs of valves, actuators, automation components, and assemblies
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings and BOM (Bill of Materials)
• Design components as per client specifications, industry standards, and company SOPs
• 2️⃣ Engineering AnalysisPerform technical analysis, including stress, flow, and dimensional checks
• Suggest design improvements for efficiency, cost reduction, and manufacturability
• Ensure designs comply with safety and quality standards
• 3️⃣ CollaborationWork closely with Production, QC, Service, and R&D teams
• Support manufacturing by providing design clarification and troubleshooting
• Coordinate with suppliers / vendors for component specifications
• 4️⃣ Documentation & ReportingMaintain design records, drawings, and revision history
• Update design changes in ERP / CAD system
• Prepare reports on new designs, modifications, and projects
• 5️⃣ Innovation & Continuous ImprovementSuggest new product concepts, design improvements, and automation solutions
• Keep updated with latest design trends, software, and technologies
• Skills RequiredProficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)
• Knowledge of valves, actuators, and industrial components
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical and automation systems
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Good communication & documentation skills
• Qualification & ExperienceBE / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical / Instrumentation / Automation / Design Engineering
• 2–6 years experience in industrial product design (valves / actuators preferred)
• Freshers with strong CAD and technical knowledge can also be considered
