Senior Manager - Logistics

Responsibilities

• • Lead and control daily dispatch operations for WTG components (towers, blades, hubs, nacelles).
  • Plan and allocate vehicles as per production readiness and project schedules.
  • Liaise with Manufacturing, PPC, Quality, Warehouse, and Project Logistics to ensure dispatch alignment.
  • Manage transporter relationships, vehicle placement, escalations, and SLA performance.
  • Oversee ODC logistics, including special trailers, route planning, escort arrangements, and statutory permits.
  • Ensure 100% accuracy of logistics documentation (LR, invoice, e‑way bill, packing list, POD).
  • Monitor vehicle movement, transit timelines, risk areas, and provide proactive updates to stakeholders.
  • Drive cost optimization through freight negotiation, load planning, and route optimization.
  • Validate and approve transporter bills, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely GRN closure.
  • Ensure logistics safety standards during loading, unloading, and transportation.
  • Maintain MIS dashboards—dispatch status, TAT, freight spend, transit delays, and vendor performance.
  • Identify bottlenecks, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Act as the escalation point for all logistics issues at the manufacturing location.
