The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems. The role ensures that all HVAC equipment operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems (AHUs, FCUs, VRV/VRF units, chillers, ducting, exhaust systems).
• Perform routine preventive maintenance (cleaning coils, checking pressure, replacing filters, lubricating motors, etc.).
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems.
• Monitor system performance and adjust controls to maintain proper temperature and air quality.
• Handle refrigerants safely and perform gas charging, vacuuming, and leak testing.
• Calibrate thermostats, controllers, sensors, and other system components.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
• Maintain accurate service records, maintenance checklists, and equipment logs.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team, facility managers, and external vendors.
• Comply with safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Respond to emergency breakdown calls and resolve system failures promptly.

• Required Skills & Qualifications

• ITI/Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience in HVAC installation and maintenance (or as specified).
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical components of HVAC systems.
• Experience in VRV/VRF systems is an advantage.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools, gauges, and instruments.
• Understanding of BMS-controlled equipment (preferred).
• Good communication skills and discipline in completing documentation.
• Physically fit and capable of working at heights or in confined spaces.

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and emergency call-outs when required.
• Valid certification for handling refrigerants (if applicable).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
