Job Description

The Society Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and administration of the residential society. The role includes supervision of technical systems, plumbing infrastructure, vendor coordination, staff management, and ensuring smooth functioning of all society facilities.

  • đź›  Key Responsibilities🏗 1. Society Operations & AdministrationOversee day-to-day functioning of the housing society.
  • Coordinate with society committee members and residents.
  • Maintain society records, documentation, and compliance registers.
  • Conduct regular meetings and prepare reports.
  • Handle resident complaints and resolve issues promptly.
  • đź”§ 2. Technical MaintenanceSupervise operation and maintenance of:

  • Water supply systems
  • Pumps and motors
  • Electrical systems (common areas)
  • STP/WTP plants (if applicable)
  • Lift coordination (with service vendors)
  • Conduct routine inspections of building infrastructure.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
  • Maintain AMC contracts and vendor coordination.
  • đźš° 3. Plumbing ManagementMonitor internal and external plumbing lines.
  • Inspect overhead and underground water tanks.
  • Identify and repair leakages, blockages, and pipeline issues.
  • Supervise plumbers and ensure timely repair work.
  • Maintain water pressure and water supply distribution.
  • Coordinate emergency plumbing repairs.
  • 👥 4. Staff & Vendor ManagementSupervise housekeeping, security, and maintenance staff.
  • Assign daily duties and monitor performance.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors.
  • Verify bills and work completion reports.
  • đź’° 5. Financial & Inventory OversightAssist in budget preparation and expense monitoring.
  • Track maintenance expenses related to plumbing and technical works.
  • Maintain stock of plumbing materials and spare parts.
  • Approve purchase of necessary maintenance supplies.
  • 🛡 6. Safety & ComplianceEnsure fire safety systems are functional.
  • Conduct regular safety audits.
  • Ensure compliance with local municipal regulations.
  • Maintain emergency response protocols.
  • 🎓 QualificationsDiploma / Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (Preferred)
  • 3–5 years experience in residential society or facility management
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and building maintenance
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and pump systems
  • Good communication and leadership skills
