Sr. Manager - Contract Admin

Responsibilities

  • Lead contract administration for MTCS consulting assignments related to: Commercial & Captive Coal Blocks, MDO (Mine Developer cum Operator) contracts, PSU and Government mining projects 
  • Review, interpret, and advise on mining contracts, agreements, amendments, and change orders. 
  • Conduct contractual risk identification and mitigation analysis and present findings to senior management and clients. 
  • Provide expert guidance on contractual obligations, rights, remedies, and risk exposure. 
  • Draft and review contractual correspondences, ensuring protection of organizational and client interests. 
  • Support claims, variations, extensions of time (EOT), and dispute avoidance strategies from a contractual perspective. 
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. 
  • Track and interpret mining policies, notifications, and guidelines relevant to contracts and project execution. 
  • Advise MTCS teams and clients on government systems, processes, and compliance frameworks. 
  • Support preparation of notes, responses, and advisory inputs on policy drafts and regulatory amendments. 
  • Act as a senior interface with clients, PSUs, and government authorities on contractual and administrative matters. 
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder coordination involving Legal, Finance, BD, Technical, and Strategy teams. 
  • Support MTCS leadership in client negotiations and contractual discussions. 
  • Represent MTCS in client meetings, reviews, and discussions on contract and governance matters. 
  • Ensure timely issuance of contractual notices, claims, and submissions as per contract provisions. 
  • Review progress claims, invoices, and payment milestones from a contractual compliance perspective. 
  • Maintain contractual records, correspondence logs, and compliance documentation. 
  • Establish and strengthen contract governance frameworks, SOPs, and best practices for MTCS. 

Qualifications

  • Essential: Graduate in any discipline from reputed institution. 
  • 12–15+ years of experience in: Contract Administration / Contract Management in Mining, Infrastructure, PSU or Heavy Industry projects 
  • Strong exposure to Indian mining contracts, statutory compliance, and government interface  
  • Experience in seniorlevel stakeholder and client interactions
