Junior Store Keeper Trainer – Construction

Educational Qualification:

• B.Tech in Civil Engineering, or
• Post Graduate / Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or
• General BA / BSc (with relevant construction/store management experience)

Job Summary:

The Junior Store Keeper Trainer – Construction will be responsible for training candidates in storekeeping practices related to the construction industry. The role includes imparting theoretical knowledge and practical skills in material handling, inventory management, documentation, safety practices, and site coordination as per industry standards.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Training & Instruction

• Deliver classroom and practical training on construction storekeeping concepts.
• Explain material receipt, storage, issue, and stock control procedures.
• Train students on construction materials, tools, and equipment used at sites.

Inventory & Documentation

• Teach stock registers, GRN, issue slips, and inventory records.
• Demonstrate basic material accounting and reconciliation.
• Guide trainees on FIFO/LIFO methods and material classification.

Site & Safety Practices

• Train students on site safety norms, PPE usage, and housekeeping standards.
• Explain quality checks for construction materials.
• Ensure adherence to industry and safety guidelines during practical sessions.

Assessment & Reporting

• Conduct assessments, practical tests, and evaluations of trainees.
• Maintain attendance, training reports, and assessment records.
• Support trainees in skill assessments and certification processes.

Coordination & Compliance

• Coordinate with center management and industry experts for smooth training delivery.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Knowledge of construction materials and storekeeping processes
• Basic understanding of civil & mechanical materials
• Inventory management and documentation skills
• Good communication and teaching skills
• Ability to handle practical demonstrations
• Familiarity with MS Excel / basic computer operations (preferred)

Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in construction storekeeping, site store, or training (preferred).
