Job Title: Store Keeper

Job Summary

The Store Keeper is responsible for managing, receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining accurate records of materials, tools, spare parts, or finished goods. The role ensures proper inventory control, timely availability of stock, and compliance with organizational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery challans
• Properly store materials in designated locations to ensure safety and easy identification
• Issue materials as per authorized requisitions and maintain issue records
• Maintain accurate stock registers, and inventory management systems (manual or ERP)
• Conduct regular physical stock checks and reconcile with system records
• Monitor minimum stock levels and inform management for timely reordering
• Ensure proper handling, preservation, and labelling of materials
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store area
• Coordinate with procurement, accounts, and site/production teams
• Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly inventory and consumption reports
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and audit requirements

Required Skills & Competencies

• Basic knowledge of inventory management and store operations
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
• Familiarity with MS Excel, ERP, or inventory software (preferred)
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic understanding of material identification and storage practices

Qualifications

• Minimum: 12th Pass / Diploma (Graduate preferred)
• 1–3 years of experience as a Store Keeper or in a similar role preferable
• Experience in construction, manufacturing, electrical, or engineering stores is an advantage

Working Conditions

• May involve lifting, carrying, or moving materials
• Work may be based in warehouse, factory, or project site environment

Salary Range: Rs. 15,000 – Rs.18,000
