Job Description

Team Member - FP&A

1. Budgeting & Forecasting Support

  • Assist in preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and rolling forecasts
  • Collect input from business teams and consolidate data for review
  • Support revisions to forecasts based on actual performance

2. Financial Analysis & Variance Reporting

  • Prepare monthly variance analysis (Actual vs Budget / Forecast)
  • Identify key drivers behind revenue, cost, and margin movements
  • Highlight risks and opportunities to senior FP&A members

3. Management Reporting

  • Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS reports
  • Create dashboards and presentations for management review
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial reports

4. Data Collection & Validation

  • Extract data from ERP systems, financial models, and Excel trackers
  • Validate numbers and resolve discrepancies with accounting teams
  • Maintain structured datasets for analysis and reporting

5. Financial Modelling Support

  • Support development and maintenance of basic financial models
  • Assist with scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis
  • Update assumptions and inputs as business conditions change

6. Business Performance Tracking

  • Track KPIs such as revenue growth, cost efficiency, EBITDA, and cash flow
  • Monitor department‑wise performance against targets
  • Support ad‑hoc analysis requested by management or business heads

7. Cross‑Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with Accounting, Business Finance, Operations, and Sales
  • Support information flow between finance and non‑finance teams
  • Assist in responding to data requests from stakeholders

8. Process Improvement & Documentation

  • Help streamline reporting processes and Excel models
  • Maintain documentation for assumptions, templates, and reports
  • Support automation and standardization initiatives

9. Audit & Compliance Support (Limited)

  • Provide financial data support during audits or internal reviews
  • Assist in reconciliations and explanation of financial movements
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
  • MBA / B.Com / M.Com Fresher
  • PowerPoint for management decks
  • ERP exposure  – basic level is sufficient
  • Data accuracy and reconciliation skills
