Turner

Job Summary:

A Turner is responsible for operating lathe machines to shape metal or other materials into precise components according to engineering drawings and specifications. The role requires accuracy, technical skill, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

• Key Responsibilities:Operate manual or CNC lathe machines to produce precision parts
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
• Set up machines, including selecting tools, fixtures, and materials
• Measure and inspect finished components using gauges, micrometers, and calipers
• Perform turning, facing, drilling, boring, threading, and knurling operations
• Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements
• Carry out routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
• Meet production targets while ensuring quality standard
