Research Analyst

Project Bhaskar explores how Artificial Intelligence can understand Indian civilization — its history, languages, texts, and cultural traditions.

Most AI systems today are trained on Western internet data.

We believe the next generation of AI should also understand India’s intellectual traditions, historical narratives, and linguistic diversity.

To help build this, we are looking for a young researcher or humanities graduate who is deeply interested in Indian history and culture, and excited to work at the intersection of history and technology.

What You Will Work On

• Research Indian historical topics, timelines, and cultural narratives

• Explore texts, stories, and knowledge systems from different periods of Indian history

• Help curate and structure historical knowledge for digital platforms and AI systems

• Assist in building datasets and knowledge archives related to Indian history and culture

• Collaborate with engineers and AI researchers to translate humanities knowledge into structured formats

Who This Role Is Ideal For

This role is ideal for someone who:

• Is a recent graduate or early-career professional in History, Humanities, Sociology, Linguistics, Political Science, or related fields

• Has a strong curiosity about Indian civilization, history, and culture

• Is comfortable using technology, research tools, and digital platforms

• Enjoys reading, researching, organizing information, and discovering new insights
