Job Description

Job Role & Responsibilities

The Project Coordinator will assist in planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of CCMS streetlighting, smart modem, and energy meter installation/maintenance projects. The role requires coordination between field teams, vendors, clients, and internal departments to ensure smooth project delivery.


Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & CoordinationSupport project managers in planning and scheduling CCMS and smart metering work activities.

  • Prepare daily/weekly work plans for field technicians and subcontractors.
  • Ensure availability of required materials: modems, energy meters, feeder pillar components, cables, and tools.
  • Coordinate with vendors for timely delivery of project materials.

2. Field Operations Management

  • Monitor and track installation, maintenance, and commissioning of:
  • CCMS panels (Centralised Control & Monitoring System)
  • Streetlight controllers & feeder pillar connections
  • Smart modem installations (GPRS/4G/NB-IoT)
  • Energy meter installation & data validation
  • Handle field escalations and ensure quick resolution of technical and connectivity issues.
  • Conduct site visits to verify work quality and ensure adherence to standards.

3. Data Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track daily progress reports from field teams and update dashboards.
  • Validate modem and meter data from platforms like:
  • CCMS software
  • IoT dashboards
  • AMI/MDAS systems
  • Identify faulty devices, communication failures, SIM issues, or low-voltage issues and escalate accordingly.
  • Prepare MIS reports, installation logs, punch lists, and documentation required by clients.

4. Stakeholder ManagementCoordinate with DISCOM officials, municipal authorities, vendors, and contractors.

  • Communicate project status updates to clients and management on time.
  • Ensure timely closure of client complaints regarding streetlights, CCMS controllers, or meter issues.
  • 5. Quality & ComplianceEnsure installations comply with project specifications, electrical safety standards, and SOPs.
  • Verify site photographs, meter readings, GPS coordinates, and asset tagging.
  • Support audits and quality inspections conducted by clients or third-party agencies.

6. Technical SupportProvide first-level troubleshooting for:

  • CCMS controller offline issues
  • Modem/network communication issues
  • Meter data mismatch
  • Streetlight feeder pillar faults
  • Coordinate with technical teams for advance-level debugging.
