CMM Programmer

The CMM Operator will be responsible for dimensional inspection of castings and machined components using Coordinate Measuring Machine (Make Mitutoyo). The role includes programming, measurement, reporting, and ensuring products meet customer drawings and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and handle Mitutoyo CMM for dimensional inspection of components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and inspection plans.
• Perform part alignment, probing, and measurement as per standards.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain quality records.
• Identify deviations and inform Quality / Production team.
• Maintain calibration status and proper upkeep of CMM equipment.
• Support first article inspection (FAI) and final inspection.
• Follow company quality procedures and safety standards.

Required Skills :

• Knowledge of CMM operation and basic programming.
• Understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with inspection tools (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge etc.).
• Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in measurement.
• Qualification ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
• Experience in CMM operation preferred (freshers with training may be considered).
• Experience1–3 years in quality inspection or CMM operation (preferred in casting or machining industry).
