Job Description

Promoting and selling heavy machinery, providing pre- and post-sales technical support, troubleshooting equipment issues, and building customer relationships. Key responsibilities involve technical sales support, diagnosing and repairing equipment, managing sales operations, and ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent technical and service delivery. 

Responsibilities

·        Sales and promotion:

o   Promote heavy equipment, explain product features, and generate sales leads.

o   Negotiate contracts and close sales deals.

o   Provide technical and sales support to clients, dealers, and end-users.

·        Technical support and service:

o   Provide pre-sales technical assistance and solution selling.

o   Perform installation, servicing, and repairs on heavy machinery.

o   Troubleshoot equipment issues and diagnose faults.

o   Provide technical guidance and training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.

o   Keep detailed records of faults, repairs, and service activities.

·        Customer and market relations:

o   Establish and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.

o   Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly.

o   Provide market and competitor analysis.

o   Monitor and evaluate customer feedback. 

Qualifications and skills

·        Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automobile Engineering, or a related field. An MBA with a sales or marketing focus can be a plus.

·        Experience:

o   Minimum 1-2 years of experience in sales /  service, preferably within the heavy equipment industry , Tractor sales & service industry

o   Experience with specific equipment like rock breakers and excavators is beneficial.

·        Skills:

o   Strong technical / commercial and troubleshooting skills.

o   Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.

o   Ability to build and maintain customer relationships.

o   Strong sales acumen and a proactive approach.

o   Willingness to travel as required.

o   Proficiency in using CRM and other business software is an asset.
