Job Title: Staff Nurse

Pediatric UnitJob Summary:The Staff Nurse in a pediatric hospital provides specialized nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents. This role involves assessing patient needs, administering treatments, supporting families, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality, child-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for pediatric patients
• Monitor vital signs and observe changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed
• Assist in diagnostic tests and medical procedures
• Provide age-appropriate care tailored to children’s developmental stages
• Educate patients and families about illnesses, treatments, and home care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Ensure a safe, clean, and child-friendly environment
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide life-saving interventions when needed
• Collaborate with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
• Previous experience in pediatric nursing (preferred but not always required)
