Laboratory Technician

Job Summary:

The Pathology Laboratory Technician is responsible for collecting, processing, analyzing, and reporting laboratory specimens to assist pathologists and physicians in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. The role requires accuracy, adherence to safety protocols, and compliance with laboratory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, label, and receive patient specimens (blood, urine, tissue, etc.)
• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests as per standard operating procedures
• Prepare samples for analysis, including centrifugation, staining, and slide preparation
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments
• Ensure quality control and calibration of laboratory instruments
• Record, analyze, and report test results accurately and timely
