Job Summary:

The Transportation Manager – ENA / HBS Operations will be responsible for complete management of bulk spirit tanker operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and timely transportation of Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA) and High Bulk Spirit (HBS) from distilleries to bottling units:

The role requires strong operational control, statutory compliance knowledge, and coordination with excise authorities, distillery dispatch teams, and plant officials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations & Dispatch Management Plan and execute daily tanker placement as per distillery loading schedules.
• Coordinate with distillery dispatch teams and receiving units.
• Ensure strict adherence to delivery timelines.
• Monitor GPS tracking and real-time trip movement.
• Compliance & DocumentationEnsure compliance with State Excise regulations.
• Verify documentation including:
• Excise permits / transport passes
• Invoices
• LR copies
• Dip chart & calibration certificates
• Maintain proper records for audit and excise inspections.
• Ensure tanker seals, dip readings, and volumetric accuracy.
• Fleet & Maintenance Control Manage stainless steel tanker fleet dedicated to ENA / HBS.
• Ensure tank cleanliness, hygiene, and contamination-free transport.
• Schedule preventive maintenance and periodic fitness checks.
• Handle breakdown management and emergency response.
• Safety & Risk ManagementEnsure strict safety protocols for flammable liquid transport.
• Conduct driver training on:
• Hazardous material handling
• Fire safety
• Emergency procedures
• Ensure availability of fire extinguishers, PPE, and safety signage.
• Prevent pilferage and ensure secure loading & unloading.
• Cost & Performance Management Monitor fuel efficiency and cost per kilometer.
• Optimize route planning to reduce detention and idle time.
• Control demurrage and delay penalties.
• Maintain operational MIS and performance reports.
• Client Coordination Maintain strong coordination with distilleries and corporate clients.
• Resolve operational escalations immediately.
• Ensure high service reliability and compliance adherence.
• Required Qualifications:Graduate (Logistics / Supply Chain preferred)
• 5–10 years of experience in bulk liquid / alcohol tanker operations
• Strong knowledge of State Excise regulations
• Experience handling ENA / HBS / RS / Ethanol transport preferred
