Mechanical Site Engineer

Job Summary:An entry-level Mechanical Engineer responsible for supporting execution of MDPE pipeline and PNG (domestic/commercial) projects, including site supervision, material tracking, and basic documentation. The role focuses on learning and assisting in project delivery while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:Site Management:

- Assist in supervision of MDPE pipeline laying, jointing, and installation activities.

- Monitor domestic and commercial PNG connection work.

- Support senior engineers in day-to-day site operations.

- Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and guidelines.

- Maintain discipline and coordination among site workers and technicians.

- Follow safety practices and report any unsafe conditions.

Material Management:

-Track receipt and usage of MDPE pipes, fittings, valves, and accessories.

- Maintain basic stock records at site.

- Assist in material inspection and verification upon delivery.

- Ensure proper storage and handling of MDPE materials to avoid damage.

- Report shortages or excess material to seniors.

Documentation & Reporting:

- Prepare daily progress reports (DPR).

- Maintain records of installed pipelines and PNG connections.

- Assist in preparation of basic documentation like installation reports.

- Support billing team by providing site data for RA bills.

- Maintain proper filing of documents and site records.

Coordination:

- Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and internal teams.

- Support communication between site and office.

- Assist in resolving minor site issues under guidance.

Quality & Safety:

- Follow company safety standards and site instructions.

- Ensure basic quality checks during pipeline laying and jointing.

- Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience:- 0–2 years (Freshers can apply)

- Preference for candidates with internship/training in CGD / PNG / MDPE projects

Required Skills:- Basic understanding of MDPE pipelines and PNG connections (preferred)

- Willingness to work on-site

- Good communication and teamwork skills

- Basic/Good knowledge of MS Excel and reporting
