Fabrication Quality Engineer

▪ We’re Hiring: Sr. Quality Engineer (PEB / Steel Structures Fabrication)

SModi Infrasteel Pvt. Ltd. is expanding its team and looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Sr. Quality Engineer to lead quality assurance & control across our PEB fabrication and erection projects.

With 26+ years of industry expertise, we are committed to delivering prime-quality steel structures using JSW / Tata / SAIL grade materials, and we require a professional who aligns with our quality-first approach.

▪ Location

Manufacturing Plant: Rohad, Bahadurgarh (Haryana)

Projects across North India as per requirement

▪ Key Responsibilities

▪ Fabrication Quality Control

▪ Inspection of raw materials (plates, coils, sections, fasteners) as per approved specifications

▪ Monitoring of cutting, fit-up, welding, drilling and assembly processes

▪ Ensuring alignment, camber and dimensional accuracy of built-up members

▪ Verification of purlins (GSM), sheeting quality and coating standards

▪ Welding & Surface Preparation

▪ Inspection of weld joints (visual and dimensional checks)

▪ Ensuring WPS compliance and proper welding procedures

▪ Monitoring surface preparation (shot blasting / grinding)

▪ Ensuring correct primer application (zinc phosphate / DTM with specified microns)

▪ QA/QC Documentation

▪ Preparation and maintenance of inspection reports, checklists and quality records

▪ Handling stage-wise inspection reports and dispatch clearances

▪ Maintaining traceability of materials and components

▪ Candidate Requirements

▪ 6–10+ years of experience in PEB / Steel Structure industry

▪ Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, welding standards and QA/QC systems

▪ Hands-on experience in shop floor inspection as well as site quality control

▪ Understanding of IS codes and industrial quality standards

▪ Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

▪ Strong reporting, documentation and communication skills

▪ Qualification

▪ B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or B.Tech in Civil Engineering
