Sales Officer

A CASA Sales Officer is a banking professional focused on acquiring new customers for Current And Savings Accounts (CASA) through field sales, tele-sales, and marketing to meet targets, activate accounts, and cross-sell other financial products like insurance and loans, working to build the bank's customer base and wallet share. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Acquisition: Sourcing new CASA accounts from individuals and corporates in their assigned area.
• Activation: Ensuring opened accounts are active with linked UPI, sufficient balances, and usage.
• Cross-Selling: Promoting and selling other bank products (insurance, mutual funds, loans) to new and existing customers.
• Marketing: Conducting local marketing activities and events to generate leads.
• Relationship Building: Developing strong ties with customers and internal teams.
• Sales Targets: Meeting daily/monthly targets for new accounts and product penetration. 

Work Style:

• Field-Oriented: Involves significant daily travel to meet customers.
• Hybrid Approach: Combines direct sales (field) with tele-calling.
• Lead Generation: Uses leads from the bank and self-sourced prospects. 

Tools & Skills:

• Uses bank CRM, apps, tablets for digital KYC.
• Requires strong sales, negotiation, communication, and product knowledge. 

Industry:

• A common on-roll sales position in private and leading banks in India.
