Job title: 	 Assistant Chef (South Indian Dishes) - Food Technology Development Centre (FTDC) 

Reports to:	 Manager – FTDC

Education and Experience: Any Graduate or relevant degree in Hotel Management with at least 4 Yr. experience in Hotel or Restaurant (F & B) industry, working as a Chef, Assistant Chef, Commis, with good experience in Menu Planning, Recipe design and Menu Trials in South Indian Dishes

Travelling: At least 40% of travel within South India in a month

II. Functions / Key Results Expected

* Job Description:
•	For Conduct Menu Trials & collect necessary documents to modified/develop the products region wise, so for smooth operation we require one more staff. 
•	Preparing a wide variety of food such as Indian Gravies & Baking products & following Traditional and Modern Recipes. 
•	Creating new and exciting dishes to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers. 
•	Expertise of food preparation, production & menu designing in South Indian Cuisines
•	Can make verities of rice-based products.
•	Planning the day-to-day operations about all the areas of kitchen with the Manager Food Development Technology Centre
•	Planning and implementing the SOPs of food preparation and production in a safe, hygienic & cost-effective manner.
•	Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as Equipments and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe food handling practices.
•	Consult to plan menus, taking into consideration factors such as cost, resources, Timeline, and others.
•	Check quality of raw or cooked food products to ensure standards are met.
•	Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations.
•	Check quality and quantity of received products.
•	Discuss menu or needs and likings with the Management.
•	Multitasking and organizational ability


 Other Key Skills:
Communication skills, work experience of hotel and restaurant, 
Basic Computer Knowledge, Microsoft Word, Excel  
Languages Known - English/ Hindi/Kannada
