Electrician

Job Summary:

The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, machinery, and equipment in the manufacturing facility. The role ensures uninterrupted power supply, machine efficiency, and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular inspection, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems, panels, and machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in production machines, lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
• Install and commission electrical wiring, conduits, switches, sockets, and industrial equipment.
• Support production teams by minimizing machine downtime and ensuring electrical systems are operational.
• Maintain records of maintenance work, parts used, and time taken for each task.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards while handling electrical work.
• Replace defective parts such as fuses, switches, motors, and relays.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Assist in preventive maintenance schedules and energy-saving initiatives.
• Coordinate with mechanical and production teams for smooth operation of all machines.
• Report major breakdowns or hazards to the maintenance head immediately.

Qualifications and Skills:

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience as an electrician in a manufacturing or industrial setup.
• Sound knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLCs (basic understanding), and control wiring.
• Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and electrical layouts.
• Hands-on experience with electrical tools, multimeters, and testing instruments.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and lockout/tagout systems.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in furniture, metal, or similar manufacturing industries is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of motor controls, panels, and machine wiring.
