Job Description

An E-Commerce Manager at Kotak Life is responsible for managing and growing the company’s online sales and digital customer engagement channels. This means driving online sales of insurance products, improving the digital experience, and leading digital marketing efforts to increase conversions, traffic and revenue through online channels.

🧠 Key Responsibilities1. E-Commerce Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute strategies for online distribution of life insurance products.
  • Set goals and track performance of digital sales channels.

2. Digital Marketing & Promotions

  • Run and optimise digital marketing campaigns (social media, search ads, email marketing) to attract potential customers.
  • Work with marketing team & agencies to build campaigns for online lead generation and brand awareness.

3. Website / Online Platform Management

  • Ensure the company’s web properties (website, landing pages, portals) are user-friendly and meet business objectives.
  • Monitor and improve user experience, site navigation, content, and conversion paths.

4. Customer Journey & Conversion

  • Analyse customer behaviour and conversion metrics to find ways to improve online purchase/enquiry experience.

5. Analytics & Reporting

  • Track KPIs like traffic, leads, conversion rates, drop-offs.
  • Prepare performance reports and recommend improvements based on data.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with product, IT, compliance, and customer support teams to ensure smooth implementation of digital initiatives.

7. Vendor/Partner Management

  • Coordinate with third-party vendors (e.g., digital agencies, analytics partners, platform vendors) to support campaigns and tools.
  • 🎯 Skills & Qualifications (Typical)Bachelor’s in Marketing, Business, Digital Media, IT, or similar.
  • Good understanding of digital marketing tools, analytics platforms (Google Analytics etc.).
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Data-driven mindset — ability to interpret metrics and optimise digital funnels.
