Role & responsibilities

  • Merchant Acquisition:
  • Identify and onboard new merchants for EDC/POS terminals in the assigned area.
  • Generate leads through cold calls, field visits, references, and partnerships.
  • Sales Target Achievement:
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales and revenue targets.
  • Drive deployment and activation of EDC terminals among newly acquired merchants.
  • Relationship Management:
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing merchants to drive retention and increased transaction volume.
  • Resolve merchant issues and coordinate with internal teams for support.
  • Market Intelligence:
  • Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer preferences to identify new opportunities.
  • Provide feedback to management to refine product and sales strategies.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, merchant data, and pipeline reports.
  • Submit daily/weekly reports to the Area Sales Manager.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships

  • Basic understanding of banking, payment gateways, and POS systems
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking

Qualifications & Experience:


  • Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Experience: 13 years of experience in field sales, preferably in fintech or POS/EDC sales
  • Preferred: Experience in merchant acquisition, card payment terminals, or digital payments
