Job Role - Machine Operator in Production Department

Job Location - Bavla ( Ice Cream Manufacturing Plant)

Roles & Responsibilities

The Candy & Extrusion Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring candy processing and extrusion equipment used in the production of inclusions, bars, sticks, pellets, or shaped confectionery components. The role ensures consistent product quality, food safety compliance, and efficient production in line with specifications and schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate candy processing and extrusion machines according to SOPs and product specifications
• Set up machines for different products, shapes, sizes, and textures
• Monitor extrusion parameters such as temperature, pressure, speed, and feed rate
• Load raw materials and ensure continuous, accurate material flow
• Inspect extruded products for size, shape, texture, and weight consistency
• Make real-time adjustments to maintain quality and minimize waste
• Perform routine checks, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance
• Identify and troubleshoot minor mechanical or process-related issues
• Follow GMP, HACCP, allergen control, and food safety standards
• Maintain production logs, quality records, and downtime reports
• Coordinate with upstream (mixing/cooking) and downstream (cooling, cutting, packaging) teams
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas as per sanitation SOPs
• Adhere strictly to safety procedures and plant policies

Educational Qualification

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Food Processing, or a related technical field
• ITI / Vocational Training in machine operation, fitter, or food processing (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology.
