Salary₹30,000 – ₹40,000 per month

Job SummaryThe Maintenance Incharge will be responsible for managing all maintenance and production-related activities at the plant. This includes ensuring smooth functioning of machinery, planning preventive maintenance, reducing breakdowns, managing budgets, and supporting installation of new systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Preventive & Breakdown MaintenancePlan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance schedules

• Monitor and reduce machine breakdowns
• Maintain and review breakdown maintenance reports
• Ensure proper functioning of all plant machinery and equipment

2. Shutdown PlanningPlan and manage short-term and long-term shutdowns

• Coordinate maintenance activities during shutdown periods

3. Equipment & Spare ManagementManage plant equipment, spares, and tools

• Maintain equipment history cards and asset registers
• Inspect materials received in stores

4. Budgeting & Cost ControlPlan maintenance budgets including capital expenditure and spares

• Monitor maintenance expenses and optimize costs
• Handle AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts) with vendors

5. Vendor & Contractor ManagementEvaluate and select vendors and contractors

• Negotiate AMC and service contracts
• Ensure quality supply of materials and services

6. Safety & ComplianceImplement fire and safety norms across the plant

• Train staff and workers on safety procedures
• Develop SOPs and emergency contingency plans

7. Risk ManagementIdentify operational risks

• Develop and implement mitigation plans
• Required SkillsStrong technical knowledge of plant maintenance

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferred)

• Minimum Diploma / Graduation from a recognized institution
• 1–3 years of experience in food industry maintenance
• At least 3 years of operations/maintenance experience
• Hands-on experience with tools, machinery, and lubrication systems
