Position Overview:

The Refrigeration Supervisor will be responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance, and performance of all refrigeration and cold storage systems within the plant. This role requires strong technical expertise in industrial refrigeration, leadership skills to manage a team of technicians, and a commitment to ensuring product quality, equipment reliability, and compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily operations and maintenance activities of ammonia and Freon-based refrigeration systems.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for compressors, chillers, condensers, evaporators, and other refrigeration equipment.
• Monitor system parameters to ensure optimal temperature control during production, storage, and dispatch.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production continuity.
• Maintain accurate records of system performance, maintenance logs, and temperature reports in compliance with statutory and quality standards.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures, including proper handling and storage of refrigerants.
• Coordinate closely with Production, Quality, and Utility teams to support uninterrupted operations, especially during peak demand periods.
• Drive initiatives for energy efficiency, cost reduction, and process optimization within the refrigeration function.
• Manage spare parts inventory and vendor coordination for repairs, replacements, and service contracts.
• Guide, train, and evaluate the performance of refrigeration technicians to ensure a highly skilled and safety-conscious workforce.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems (Ammonia & Freon).
• Hands-on experience in ice cream, dairy, frozen food manufacturing plants, Cold Storage and Cold Chain Logistics, Industrial Refrigeration OEMs / Service Providers
• Proficiency in PLC-based refrigeration control systems and automation interfaces.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance, utility systems, and equipment reliability.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• Commitment to safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced production environment
