Job Description

📌 Position: Collection Officer / Collections Executive

Role Type: Full-time, Permanent


Work Mode: 100% field-based, day shift — no remote/hybrid option


🧭 Role Overview A Collection Officer is responsible for managing customer engagements within assigned regions to ensure timely repayment of microfinance loans.


✅ Key Responsibilities

  • Field Collections: Proactively visit customers to follow up on pending or overdue EMI payments.
  • Customer Education: Inform clients about repayment schedules, terms, and consequences of non-payment.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately document collection visits and update payment statuses.
  • Issue Escalation: Coordinate with internal teams to resolve customer disputes or loan-related issues.
  • Field Support: Assist with client surveys, debt recovery tracking, and data management as needed.
  • Target Achievement: Meet daily, weekly, and monthly collection targets.


🎓 Qualifications & Skills

  • Educational: Minimum SSLC (10th pass); preference for graduates (B.Com, BBA).
  • Experience: Freshers or candidates with up to 4 years in collections/field roles.
  • Core Competencies:
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Basic understanding of financial principles and debt collection.
  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working independently and in teams.
  • Language: Fluency in the local language(s) preferred.
  • 🚗 Logistics & Mobility Must own a two-wheeler and possess a valid driving license.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 100%) within the assigned region.


💰 Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: ₹14,000 – ₹20,000/month
  • Incentives/Commissions: Up to ₹20,000 – ₹25,000+ based on performance
