About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and learning-focused Accountant – Taxation & Compliance to join our finance team in Bangalore. This role is ideal for candidates with 2+ years of experience who are eager to gain end-to-end exposure to the complete accounting lifecycle. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in Tally and a keen interest in building expertise across taxation, statutory compliance, and financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and verify expense reports for accuracy and policy compliance.

• Reconcile petty cash, expense accounts, and suspense accounts on a monthly basis.

• Record accounting entries and maintain books of accounts using Tally (ERP9 / Prime).

• Track vendor payments, manage outstanding invoices, and follow up on collections.

• Maintain systematic and accurate filing of invoices, vouchers, and financial records.

• Assist in calculation and filing of TDS, including challan generation and returns.

• Support GST registrations and monthly filings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B).

• Assist in Income Tax, Advance Tax, and Professional Tax computations and filings.

• Support preparation and review of Form 16 and related tax computations.

• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including PF, ESI, and Professional Tax, under guidance.

• Coordinate with internal teams and auditors by providing required financial documents.

• Assist in audit preparation, reconciliations, and clarification during interim and annual audits.

• Support employees, consultants, and stakeholders on basic tax and compliance-related queries.

• Proactively learn and contribute to improving accounting and compliance processes.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Finance / Accounting (B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter preferred)

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in accounting and basic taxation.

• Strong working knowledge of Tally ERP9 / Tally Prime (mandatory).

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of:

• GST, TDS, Income Tax, Advance Tax, Professional Tax

• PF, ESI, Form 16, and statutory filings

• Good command over MS Excel and financial data handling.

• Strong willingness and thirst to learn end-to-end accounting processes.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• High attention to detail with a positive and proactive attitude.
