Accountant

Role Overview

We are looking for a reliable Tally Prime Operator cum Accountant to handle our daily financial entries and maintain up-to-date accounting records. You will be responsible for recording all business transactions, managing GST/TDS compliance, and providing accurate financial reports to management.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Entry: Record daily sales, purchases, payments, and receipts accurately in Tally Prime.
• Bank Reconciliation: Regularly match bank statements with Tally records to ensure consistency.
• Tax Compliance: Handle GST billing, prepare data for GST returns (GSTR-1, 3B), and manage TDS/TCS requirements.
• Accounts Management: Oversee Accounts Payable (creditors) and Accounts Receivable (debtors), including following up on outstanding payments.
• Inventory Control: Maintain real-time stock records, including inward and outward entries, within the Tally system.
• Financial Reporting: Generate monthly MIS reports, Profit & Loss statements, and Balance Sheets for management review.
• Documentation: Organize and file all vouchers, bills, and tax-related documents for easy retrieval and audit support.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or a related field.
• Technical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of Tally Prime and basic to advanced MS Excel.
• Accounting Basics: Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles (debit/credit, journal entries).
• Detail-Oriented: High level of accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
• Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with current Indian taxation laws, including GST and TDS.
