Application Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly driven Founding Engineer who can take ownership of building and scaling our mobile app and web platform from the ground up. This role requires strong technical skills, startup mindset, and willingness to work in a fast-moving environment.

You will work directly with the founder and be involved in product architecture, development, deployment, and scaling decisions.

• Key Responsibilities: Product Development - Design, develop, and maintain Dotko mobile application and web platform
• Build scalable backend architecture and APIs
• Ensure smooth UI/UX implementation with performance optimization
• Develop secure authentication and data handling systems
• Technology & ArchitectureSelect and manage technology stack
• Build cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security
• Implement analytics and performance monitoring tools
• Startup & Founding Team Contribution - Participate in product roadmap discussions
• Suggest new features based on technical and user insights
• Help build engineering hiring roadmap in future
• Contribute to company tech vision and long-term strategy
• Required Skills & QualificationsStrong experience in Full Stack Development
• Experience in Mobile App Development (Flutter / React Native / Native Android / iOS)
• Strong Backend Development (Node.js / Python / Java / Go or similar)
• Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
• Database knowledge (SQL + NoSQL preferred)
• API Development (REST / GraphQL)
• Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of system design and scalable architecture
• Good to HaveExperience working in startup or building product from scratch
• Experience with SaaS or marketplace platforms
• Understanding of Indian digital ecosystem
• Basic UI/UX design sense
• Experience with payment integrations, notifications, or real-time systems
