Job Description
Job Purpose: Area Sales Manager would be responsible for Achieving Sales Revenue Targets and Expanding Business in his defined geographical area. He would be required to recruit and manage the Sales Team as per company policy. Responsibilities: ● Prepare Sales Forecast and Achieve Sales Revenue Target in General & Modern Trade ● Recruit and Manage Sales Team ● Directly Supervise at least 5 to 6 Sales Officer, SR/TSI ● Ensure timely delivery of Reports from Sales Team in given formats ● Provide Training to Sales Team and Expand their Sales Skills ● Clearly Communicate and Implement Collection Policy ● Take Payment Collection Responsibility of Sales Achieved ● Ensure Daily Order Booking Target is Achieved by Frontline Team (SR/TSI) ● Procure Weekly Secondary Statements from Channel Partners (SS, C&F, Distributors) ● Implement use of Software/APP by Sales Team for smooth operation ● Plan and Execute New Product Launching ● Open and Manage New Territories by appointing Channel Partners as per company’s policy ● Plan, Design and Execute Sales Contest, Schemes for Sales Team, Distributors and Retailers ● Conducting Monthly/Quarterly/Half Yearly and Yearly Review Meeting with Sales team ● Ensure Entire Sales Team is always Highly Motivated and Charged Up. ● Develop good report with Top Distributor and Top Retailers across Assigned Region ● Ensure proper utilization of POP material by Sales Team and maintain inventory of the same ● Ensure that One Daily Dentist/Pediatrician Visit, One Weekly In-Shop Activity & One Monthly School Promotion Activity is done by Frontline Team (SR/TSI) ● Prepare and Present various MIS of Sales Data whenever required by Management ● Perform Joint Field Work with Sales Team Requisite Skills: ● Confident and Assertive ● Excellent Interpersonal Skills ● Excellent Communication skills (written and verbal); Good listening ● Excellent Analytical Skills; Attentiveness to Details ● Knowledge of functioning of businesses ● Self-Grooming, Logical Reasoning and Self-Motivated ● MS office proficiency ● Ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion Desired Skills: ● Ability to perform under pressure ● Being performance-driven and focused on results ● Ability to self-motivate and motivate others
