Ayurvedic Pharmacist

The Ayurvedic Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing Ayurvedic medicines, managing pharmacy inventory, ensuring quality and compliance with Ayurvedic standards, and supporting doctors and patients with accurate medication guidance.

• Key Responsibilities Dispensing & Patient Care Dispense Ayurvedic medicines strictly as per doctor’s prescription
• Explain dosage, method of intake, duration, and precautions to patients
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and prescription records
• Address basic patient queries related to medicines
• Inventory & Stock Management Maintain proper stock levels of medicines, oils, powders, tablets, syrups, and consumables
• Monitor expiry dates and ensure FEFO (First Expiry First Out) practice
• Raise purchase requisitions and coordinate with suppliers
• Maintain inward, outward, and stock registers
• Quality & Compliance Ensure proper storage conditions for all Ayurvedic medicines
• Follow GMP, AYUSH, and company SOP guidelines
• Ensure medicines are genuine, approved, and properly labeled
• Assist during inspections or audits if required
• Documentation & Reporting Maintain daily sales, issue, and stock reports
• Update pharmacy records and billing entries (manual/software-based)
• Coordinate with accounts for billing and reconciliation
• Coordination & Support Work closely with doctors, therapists, and front desk staff
• Support smooth functioning of the center’s pharmacy operations
• Participate in training and updates on new Ayurvedic products
• Qualifications D Pharm (Ayurveda) / B Pharm (Ayurveda) / BAMS with pharmacy experience
• Registration with State Ayurvedic Pharmacy Council (mandatory, if applicable)
• Experience Minimum 1–3 years experience in an Ayurvedic pharmacy, hospital, or clinic preferred
• Freshers with relevant qualification may be considered
• Skills & Competencies Good knowledge of Ayurvedic medicines and formulations
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic computer and billing software knowledge
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ethical and patient-focused approach
• Working Hours As per company policy / center timings
