Job SummaryThe Bending Operator is responsible for operating press brake and bending machines to fabricate sheet metal components used in elevator parts such as cabins, doors, frames, panels, and brackets, ensuring accuracy, quality, and safety standards.

• Key ResponsibilitiesOperate press brake / bending machines to bend sheet metal as per drawings and specifications
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders
• Set up tools, dies, and machine parameters according to job requirements
• Perform quality checks using measuring tools (vernier caliper, angle gauge, tape, etc.)
• Ensure correct angles, dimensions, and tolerances for elevator components
• Identify and correct bending defects (spring-back, cracking, misalignment)
• Maintain production targets while ensuring quality standards
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE at all times
• Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance
• Coordinate with welding, assembly, and quality teams
• Maintain proper documentation and production records
• Required Skills & QualificationsITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Fabrication, or related field (preferred)
• 2–5 years of experience in sheet metal bending (elevator or similar industry preferred)
• Hands-on experience with hydraulic or CNC press brake machines
• Knowledge of MS, SS, GI sheets commonly used in elevator manufacturing
• Ability to read technical drawings and understand tolerances
• Basic knowledge of quality and safety standards
• Physically fit to handle shop-floor activities
