Cafe Assitant / Continental Cook

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and energetic Cook/Chef for a coffee/Cafe outlet to prepare fresh café-style food items that complement beverages. The candidate should be able to handle a compact kitchen, maintain hygiene standards, and deliver consistent taste and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare sandwiches, wraps, burgers, toast, pasta, fries, and quick snack items
• Assist in basic breakfast items and light dessert plating
• Ensure food quality, taste consistency, and attractive presentation
• Maintain cleanliness and follow food safety & hygiene practices
• Handle ingredient preparation, storage, and stock rotation
• Support smooth kitchen operations during peak hours
• Coordinate with barista/front staff for timely order delivery
• Minimize wastage and maintain portion control

Requirements

• Prior experience in café, bakery, QSR, or small restaurant kitchen preferred
• Basic knowledge of café menu preparation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety
• Team player with good time management

Preferred Skills

• Basic baking or dessert knowledge (added advantage)
