Job Description
- Cashier – Roles and Responsibilities (Two-Wheeler Dealership)Daily Cash Handling:
- Receive payments from customers (cash, UPI, card, cheque).
- Issue receipts for all transactions.
- Maintain petty cash and daily cash register.
- Billing and Invoicing:
- Generate accurate invoices for vehicle sales, services, accessories, and spare parts.
- Cross-check bills with service/job cards or delivery notes.
- Customer Interaction:
- Greet customers politely at the payment counter.
- Resolve basic billing or payment queries promptly and professionally.
- Bank Transactions:
- Prepare daily bank deposit slips.
- Coordinate with accounts for timely bank deposits of collected cash/cheques.
- Record Maintenance:
- Maintain proper records of cash inflow and outflow.
- Ensure that all transactions are recorded in the system (Tally/DMS/ERP).
- Reporting:
- Submit daily collection reports to the Accounts/Manager.
- Report any discrepancies immediately to the Finance or Branch Manager.
- Compliance and Security:
- Follow dealership and audit guidelines strictly.
- Ensure the cash counter is secure and maintain confidentiality.
- Support to Accounts Team:
- Assist with month-end closing, reconciliation, and audit documentation.
- Coordinate during stock-taking or physical cash verification.
- Coordination with Sales & Service Teams:
- Align with service advisors and sales staff to confirm billing accuracy.
- Support in promotional billing schemes or discounts.
- System Usage:
- Operate dealership management software (e.g., AutoDMS, Tally, or any custom ERP).
