Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of both analog and modern AI-powered IP surveillance systems. The role involves setting up cameras, DVRs/NVRs, cabling, and ensuring high-performance security operations for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Configuration: Install IP and analog CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR systems, video door phones, and access control systems.
- Networking: Configure network settings for IP cameras, including LAN, WAN, IP address management, router, and switch configuration.
- AI Surveillance Setup: Set up and calibrate AI-enabled cameras for features such as facial recognition, object detection, and license plate recognition (LPR).
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform regular system inspections, preventative maintenance, and repair, or replace faulty cameras and hardware.
- Site Survey: Conduct site surveys to determine optimal camera placement and infrastructure requirements.
- Cable Management: Install, test, and terminate copper (Cat5e/Cat6) and coaxial cables.
- Technical Support & Documentation: Provide technical support and training to end-users, and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations and service logs.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in installing and maintaining CCTV systems, with a focus on IP-based technology.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of networking protocols, IP configuration, and video management software.
- Education: High school diploma or ITI in a technical field; Diploma in Electronics or Engineering is a plus.
- Physical Ability: Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic abilities to resolve hardware and software issues.
- Communication: Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Tools: Familiarity with hand tools, testers, and basic electrical wiring.
- Valid Driver's License: Required for traveling to client sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of brands such as Hikvision, Dahua, CP Plus, or Axis.
- Experience with access control, fire alarms, or intercom systems.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Security+).
