CNC Machine Operator

Job Summary:The CNC Operator is responsible for operating CNC machines to produce precision components as per drawings and specifications, ensuring quality, productivity, and safety standards are maintained.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperate CNC machines (Turning / Milling) as per work instructions

• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts
• Read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
• Set tools and offsets (basic level)
• Monitor machine operations and ensure smooth functioning
• Inspect parts using measuring instruments
• Maintain production records and reports
• Ensure proper handling of tools and materials
• Follow safety procedures and housekeeping (5S)
• Report machine issues or defects to supervisor

Technical SkillsBasic

• knowledge of CNC machines (Lathe / VMC)
• Understanding of G-code & M-code (basic level)
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Knowledge of measuring instruments:
• Vernier Caliper
• Micrometer
• Height Gauge
• Basic knowledge of cutting tools and inserts
• Understanding of tolerances and fits

Educational Qualification ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Experience 2+ years in CNC machining (Freshers with training can also apply with CNC Opreating skills)
