Collection Team Leader

Job SummaryThe Loan Recovery Team Lead is responsible for managing and guiding the loan recovery team to ensure timely collection of overdue and delinquent accounts. The role focuses on minimizing non-performing assets (NPA), improving recovery rates, and ensuring all recovery activities comply with company policies and regulatory guidelines.

• Key ResponsibilitiesLead, supervise, and motivate the loan recovery team to achieve monthly and annual recovery targets
• Monitor delinquent loan portfolios and prioritize recovery actions
• Develop and implement effective recovery strategies for early, mid, and late-stage delinquencies
• Conduct regular follow-ups with customers through calls, visits, and negotiations
• Handle escalated and high-value delinquent accounts personally
• Ensure recovery processes comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards
• Coordinate with legal, credit, and operations teams for legal recovery actions when required
• Track team performance, prepare MIS reports, and present recovery status to management
• Train, coach, and evaluate team members to improve productivity and recovery skills
• Identify root causes of defaults and recommend preventive measures
