Education Counsellor

Job Summary:As a Tele-counsellor, you will be responsible for providing guidance and counseling to prospective students and parents over the phone. You will assist with queries related to admissions, programs, campus life, and other relevant areas, ensuring that the individuals receive accurate and timely information.

• Key Responsibilities:Answer inbound calls and make outbound calls to prospective students and parents.
• Counsel students regarding available academic programs, eligibility criteria, and admission procedures.
• Follow up with leads and assist them throughout the admission process.
• Provide detailed information on course offerings, scholarships, and career prospects.
• Maintain and update student information in the CRM system.
• Schedule counseling sessions or interviews for students with relevant departments or faculty.
• Provide clarity on fees, deadlines, and all necessary documentation for the application process.
• Address and resolve inquiries regarding campus facilities, extracurricular activities, and other institutional offerings.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with prospective students, parents, and staff.
• Achieve individual and team targets related to student enrollment.
• Ensure high levels of satisfaction and create a positive image of the institution.
• Participate in team meetings and provide feedback on improvements in counseling practices.
• Key Skills & Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Preferably in Psychology, Education, or related fields).
• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in counseling, telecalling, or sales (education industry experience preferred).
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills in [languages required – e.g., English, Hindi, Kannada, etc.].
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with CRM software and telecalling tools is a plus.
• Personality Traits: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and problem-solving ability.
• Customer Orientation: Strong focus on customer service and maintaining a high level of satisfaction.
• Target-Oriented: Ability to work under targets and deadlines.
• Additional Skills: Experience in dealing with parents and students, an understanding of educational systems, and knowledge of counseling techniques are beneficial.
• Additional Responsibilities:Keep up to date with changes in admission procedures, courses, and regulations.
• Assist in organizing and participating in open days, educational fairs, or other events as needed.
• Provide feedback on lead quality and suggest improvements to the lead generation process.
