Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Purpose: 

Responsible for the cleanliness and hygiene of the hospital facility and infrastructure

Job Responsibilities:

• Assign housekeeping tasks to staff and inspecting work to ensure that the prescribed standards of cleanliness are met
• Plan and schedule staff shifts and organizing replacements as required
• Investigate and address complaints regarding poor housekeeping service
• Provide training to the housekeeping staff on best practices
• Take regular inventory of cleaning supplies and ordering stock as needed
• Issue cleaning supplies and equipment to housekeeping staff as needed
• Screening housekeeping applicants and recommending promotions, transfers, and dismissals
• Perform various cleaning duties in instances of staff shortages

Job Specifications:

• Qualification: High school diploma or Graduate
• Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in same role
• Technical Skills / Job related skills: working knowledge on house-keeping, dexterity and strength to perform or monitor physical work, record management, working knowledge on MS office
• Management Skills: Be a good team player, maintain good people relations, organizing skills and time management
• Communication Skills: Empathetic communication towards staff, patients and others. Good command on south Indian languages and English
