Job Description
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory levels, tracking stock movements, and ensuring the accuracy of our inventory records. This role involves coordinating with other departments to maintain optimal stock levels, minimize discrepancies, and support efficient supply chain operations.
- Key Responsibilities:Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, inventory transactions, and item locations in the warehouse.
- Conduct regular inventory audits, cycle counts, and physical stock verifications.
- Monitor and update inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Ensure products are stored and organized correctly to maximize space utilization.
- Stock Control & Reporting:
- Track and analyze stock movements to identify trends, discrepancies, or potential issues.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management review.
- Analyze inventory data to forecast demand and adjust stock levels accordingly.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and report any stock variances.
- Coordination & Communication:
- Coordinate with the procurement and warehouse teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Work closely with sales and operations departments to manage order fulfillment and stock availability.
- Communicate with suppliers to track deliveries, resolve shortages, and expedite shipments when necessary.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for improving inventory management processes and reducing waste.
- Implement best practices to optimize inventory accuracy and reduce holding costs.
- Assist in developing and updating inventory management policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- System & Compliance:
- Use inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems) to track stock levels and generate reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory area to support safety and efficiency.
- Qualifications & Skills:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in inventory management, stock control, or a related role.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and supply chain management.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
