IT Support Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on IT professional to manage the organization’s IT infrastructure, networking, system administration, and application support/development. The role requires end-to-end ownership of IT operations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of internal systems.

Roles & Responsibilities

Networking & Infrastructure

• Manage and maintain LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and internet connectivity
• Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and security
• Coordinate with ISPs and vendors for network-related issues

System Administration

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
• Manage Windows/Linux systems, user access, email accounts, and backups
• Ensure data security, antivirus, patching, and system updates
• Handle IT asset management and documentation

IT Governance, Security & Compliance

• Implement, maintain, and enforce IT policies including Information Security Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Password Policy, Backup & DR Policy, etc.
• Ensure compliance with internal IT controls, audits, and regulatory requirements (ISO 27001 / RBI / NBFC guidelines where applicable)
• Conduct periodic security reviews, access audits, and vulnerability checks
• Manage data privacy, endpoint security, and incident reporting
• Support internal and external IT audits with documentation, evidence, and corrective actions
• Maintain IT SOPs, risk registers, and compliance documentation

Application Support / Development

• Provide support for internal applications, CRM, ERP, HRMS, etc.,
• Perform application modifications, enhancements, or custom development as per business needs
• Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate with external developers/vendors if required
• Assist in testing, deployment, and maintenance of applications

IT Support & Operations

• Provide L1/L2 technical support to employees
• Resolve hardware, software, and system-related issues within defined SLAs
• Train employees on basic IT usage, security practices, and tools
• Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and audit requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT / Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in networking, system administration, and IT support
• Hands-on knowledge of:
• Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Windows/Linux OS
• Application support or basic development (any language/framework is a plus)
• Basic knowledge of databases, APIs, or scripting is an added advantage
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Experience

• 2–4 years for IT Administrator / Systems Engineer
• Experience in NBFC, banking, BFSI, or corporate environments is a plus
