Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

1.   Mechanical Design & Development:

o  Design and develop mechanical components and systems for avionics products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

o  Create detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and prototypes using CAD software (such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or AutoCAD).

o  Perform mechanical design calculations (thermal, structural, and vibration analysis) to ensure the durability, performance, and reliability of avionics equipment.

2.   System Integration:

o  Collaborate with electrical, software, and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with avionics hardware and software.

o  Design enclosures and mounting solutions to accommodate avionics equipment, ensuring proper alignment and functionality within aircraft systems.

3.   Documentation & Reporting:

o  Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, bills of materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and testing protocols.

o  Provide regular updates and reports on design progress, challenges, and timelines to project management and other stakeholders.

o  Stay updated on the latest technological advancements and regulatory changes in the avionics and aerospace industry.

o  Assist in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of design activities to meet project timelines and deliverables.
