Garment Merchandiser – Shirt Manufacturing (Product & Process Focused)

Role SummaryWe are looking for a hands-on Garment Merchandiser who can analyze production problems, understand shirt construction deeply, and convert design concepts into finished samples while maintaining accurate production data in the system.

This role bridges design, production, and execution and requires strong coordination with sampling, cutting, stitching, finishing, and QC teams.

• Key Responsibilities1. Product Understanding & Design ExecutionUnderstand shirt construction end-to-end:
• 
  
• Fit, pattern, fabric behavior, trims, stitching, finishing
• Translate design concepts / tech packs into actual samples.
• Implement new designs, styles, and variations into production-ready formats.
• Ensure design feasibility without compromising quality or cost.

Deliverable:

✔ Design concept converted into approved sample

✔ Design changes clearly communicated to production

• 2. Sampling & DevelopmentCoordinate with pattern masters and sampling tailors.
• Ensure:

• Correct fabric & trims
• Accurate measurements
• Construction as per design intent
• Track sample stages:

• Proto
• Fit
• Pre-production (PP) sample
• Ensure samples are approved within committed timelines.

• 3. Production Coordination & Problem SolvingActively monitor production flow for assigned styles.
• Identify and solve:

• Fit issues
• Sewing defects
• Fabric or trim problems
• Process delays
• Work on the shop floor to find root causes, not just report issues.
• Coordinate corrective actions with supervisors and QC.

• 4. Process & Quality ComplianceEnsure production follows:

• Required Skills & ExperienceMust-Have3–6 years experience as Garment Merchandiser (Shirts preferred)
• Strong understanding of:

• Comfortable working on shop floor + system
