Company Description:

Mitti Labs is a climate tech company, mission is to reduce Rice emissions while improving small-holder farmer livelihoods. The company's integrated approach covers project design, farmer training, transparency, dMRV technology for project integrity, and certification for project financing. Mitti Labs' proprietary dMRV uses AI and satellite data for local precision at a country scale.


Position Summary:

The QA/QC Analyst will serve as the primary guardian of our project's data integrity. This individual will be responsible for the systematic monitoring, evaluation, and validation of all data collected from field operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong agricultural background, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to implement and enforce rigorous quality standards. You will act as the key liaison between the data management team and the field teams, ensuring all data is accurate, complete, and reliable.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Validation and Monitoring: Conduct daily, rigorous reviews and validation of incoming field data streams to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established collection protocols.
  2. Quality Control Implementation: Develop, implement, and refine comprehensive data quality control (QC) protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all project activities.
  3. Discrepancy and Root Cause Analysis: Systematically identify, investigate, and document data anomalies, outliers, and inconsistencies. Perform root cause analysis on identified issues and propose effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
  4. Field Team Collaboration: Serve as the primary quality-focused point of contact for field teams. Communicate data-related issues, provide constructive feedback, and offer support to field staff to resolve quality concerns in real-time. (Note: This communication will be primarily in Telugu).
  5. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain meticulous and organized records of all QA/QC activities, including audit trails, non-conformance reports, and issue resolution logs. Prepare and present regular data quality reports and dashboards for project management using MS Excel.
  6. Process Improvement: Proactively identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement within the data collection and quality management lifecycle. Provide data-driven recommendations to enhance data integrity and operational efficiency.


Qualifications and Requirements:

Essential (Must-Have) Qualifications

  1. Education: A Bachelor's degree (e.g., B.Sc.) in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Environmental Science, or a closely related discipline is mandatory.
  2. Language: Native or equivalent professional proficiency in the Telugu/ Kannada/ Odiya/ Tamil language (reading, writing, and speaking) is essential for effective communication with field teams.
  3. Field Experience: Demonstrable and robust field experience within the Indian agricultural work stream. Candidates must understand the practical realities of field-level operations.
  4. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, including (but not limited to) pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, conditional formatting, data validation, and creating reports/dashboards.
  5. Analytical Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
  6. Personal Attributes: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong organizational capabilities, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.


Desirable (Preferred) Qualifications

  1. QA/QC Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of direct experience in a data quality, quality assurance, or program monitoring role is highly desirable.
  2. Background: A personal or deep-rooted agricultural background is a significant advantage. Essential Conditions of Employment
