Role Overview

The Quality Assurance Associate / Assistant supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with AS9100 Rev D, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements. The role focuses on quality system documentation, process assurance, internal audits, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position also plays an active role in supporting the organization in achieving and maintaining AS9100 Rev D certification.

Key Responsibilities

1. AS9100 Rev D Implementation Support

• Support the team in implementing and maintaining the AS9100 Rev D Quality Management System.
• Support activities required for AS9100 Rev D certification, including documentation preparation, process alignment, and gap analysis.
• Participate in the development of quality procedures, process maps, and work instructions aligned with AS9100 Rev D requirements.
• Support preparation for external certification audits and surveillance audits.
• Assist in coordinating with departments to ensure AS9100 compliance across all processes.

2. Quality Management System (QMS)

• Support the maintenance and improvement of the Quality Management System in accordance with AS9100 Rev D and ISO 9001.
• Ensure procedures, policies, and documented processes are properly implemented and followed.
• Assist in maintaining QMS documentation and records.

3. Documentation Control

• Maintain and control quality documents, procedures, templates, and records.
• Ensure proper revision control, approval, and distribution of documents.
• Support development of process documentation, templates, and flowcharts required for operations.

4. Process Assurance

• Monitor manufacturing processes in composite fabrication and machining along with QC team to ensure adherence to documented procedures.
• Support identification of process deviations and risks and coordinate with quality control,  production and engineering teams for resolution.
• Assist in implementing process improvements aligned with quality objectives.

5. Non-Conformance & Corrective Action Management

• Support management of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Track and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.

6. Internal Audits

• Assist in planning and conducting internal audits in accordance with AS9100 Rev D requirements.
• Document audit findings and support closure of audit non-conformities.
• Maintain internal audit records and reports.

7. Risk Management & Continuous Improvement

• Support implementation of risk-based thinking and risk management practices required under AS9100 Rev D.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and quality improvement projects.
• Monitor and report quality performance metrics and improvement activities.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in Quality Assurance within composite manufacturing, machining, or precision manufacturing environment.



Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of AS9100 Rev D and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Understanding of process documentation and quality procedures.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis methods (5 Why, Fishbone, etc.).
• Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
