Quality Control Engineer

Core duties and responsibilities

• Diagram and specification analysis: Read and interpret a variety of technical diagrams, including:
• Fabrication drawings: Verify material specifications, machining tolerances, and dimensional accuracy for crane components, pressure vessels, and large structural assemblies.
• Material inspection: Inspect incoming raw materials, fabricated components, and subcontracted jobs to ensure they meet quality and engineering specifications.
• In-process inspection: Monitor the production cycle, including heavy fabrication, machining, and assembly, to identify non-conformances as early as possible.
• Testing and validation: Conduct or oversee dimensional inspections. Knowledge about instruments. 
• Experience: Proven experience in a quality engineering or quality assurance role, preferably in heavy equipment or a high-volume manufacturing environment.
