Job Description
Looking for a Quality Control (QC) Inspector in sheet metal fabrication ensures parts meet engineering specifications, drawings, and standards through inspections of incoming, in-process, and finished materials. Key responsibilities include conducting first-piece and final inspections, using precision measuring tools, maintaining, documenting, and enforcing quality standards to reduce scrap and rework.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspections: Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspection of fabricated parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM.
- Technical Compliance: Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications (GD&T) to verify accuracy.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation, including Quality Control plans, First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, and inspection records.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials to prevent usage.
