Rack Cutting Miller

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Rack Cutting Machine Operator with at least 1 year of hands-on experience in gear or rack cutting operations. The candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining rack cutting machines to produce precision components as per drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate rack cutting / gear cutting machines efficiently

Set up machine parameters based on technical drawings

Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Select appropriate cutting tools and fixtures

Ensure accuracy and quality of finished components

Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning

Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor issues

Maintain production records and reports

Follow safety standards and shop floor discipline

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year experience in rack cutting / gear cutting

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)

Basic knowledge of machining processes and tools

Ability to read engineering drawings

Familiarity with measuring instruments (Vernier caliper, micrometer, etc.)

Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset

Preferred Skills:

Experience in gear hobbing / shaping machines

Knowledge of different materials (EN8, EN19, etc.)

Basic troubleshooting skills

Working Conditions:

Shop floor environment

Rotational shifts (if applicable)
